Shady Creek Outdoor School is a residential environmental science camp designed for 5th and 6th grade students. Check out their website for more details.

This trip is being organizing, staffed and brought to you by Thrive, Homeschool Program but is open to ALL homeschoolers in 5th or 6th grade.

COST: $290 per student, this covers Shady Creek fees for food, lodging and educational program all week as well as staffing, administration and insurance costs covered by Thrive.

Dates: January 29 to February 2, 2018

PAYMENT: May use funds from any local homeschool charter or private funds payable to Thrive Homeschool Program.

REGISTRATION: Complete this form and order your charter funds or pay directly.

FOOD: Food is provided starting with Monday lunch through Friday breakfast. They can accommodate most food requests including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc. 

TRANSPORTATION: Families must provide their own transportation to and from the camp (or arrange car pools with each other).

CORE: These dates are the same week that CORE Butte is attending. CORE students are encouraged to register directly through CORE. Other students will know that their CORE friends will be there the same week.

VOLUNTEERS: We will be recruiting high school cabin counselors and a few parents interested in volunteering. Please email if you are interested.

SHOULD MY CHILD GO 5th or 6th GRADE?: Thrive will only be hosting this every other year so you should send your students whether they are 5th or 6th. If they are 5th now we won't be hosting again until they are 7th so they should go now.
